Learn to make your own metal marking tools! Our resident metalsmith, Erin Austin, will guide you through annealing, carving, hardening, and tempering your very own steel stamps.
Create a makers mark, decorative stamps, texture tools, center punches, etc.
You will leave this workshop with 1 or 2 finished tools, blanks to create up to 5 stamps, and a zine to walk you through the steps should you wish to make more.

- Students must be 18 years or older
To use the studio you must:
- Sign a Liability Waiver
- Wear closed toed shoes
- Wear appropriate eye protection
- Wear splash goggles when using the soldering area
- Note: 1 pair is available in the studio at the soldering station. If you would like your own pair please bring them.
- Tie back long hair
- Secure loose clothing
- Follow all posted Studio rules
- Follow directions from instructor and/or studio monitors
We also highly suggest wearing natural fibers like cotton, hemp, etc. Synthetic fibers contain plastic that may melt onto your skin if they come into contact with heat!
Registration: Registration opens December 19th. Registration closes 24hrs before the start of each workshop.
Refunds and Credit: Refunds are available until 1 week before the scheduled class date. Credit is available up to the class date. Credits must be used with the same instructor.
Please note: We do NOT have bathrooms available for customer/student use. Please plan accordingly. The Eureka Visitor Center, at 108 F St. (near the gazebo), has bathrooms available for your use from 10am to 5pm..
