1 on 1 jewelry and metalsmithing instruction with Erin Austin is available by appointment Tuesdays from noon-3 and Sundays from 3-6pm. Please contact us if the available hours do not work for your schedule.
You will be able to choose in 1 hour increments before you add this item to your cart.
Beginners are welcome, however, students must be 18 and over.
To use the studio you must:
- Sign a Liability Waiver
- Wear closed toed shoes
- Wear non-synthetic fibers (synthetic clothing contains plastic that can melt onto your skin!)
- Tie back long hair
- Secure loose clothing
- Follow all posted and verbal Studio rules
- Follow directions from instructors and Studio monitors.
Students and renters enjoy full access to our well-equipped jewelry studio, featuring 6 benches, 1 acetylene/air soldering station with ventilation, rolling mill, 6" shear, ring bender, buffing equipment, vibratory and rotary tumblers, hydraulic press (coming soon!), and more!
Copper and brass is supplied for samples (unfinished pieces for learning specific techniques). Students are to provide their own supplies for larger pieces or works in sterling silver. Metal is available for purchase at Talisman Beads of F st. in Eureka or online at Otto Frei or Rio Grande.
Please note: We do NOT have bathrooms available for customer/student use. Please plan accordingly. Businesses that offer restrooms to customers (you must purchase something to use their restrooms) in the immediate area include: Madrone and The Speakeasy.
