August 26: Sammantha and Ryan Farmer
Sammantha (newly and happily Farmer):
Raised in Humboldt, Sammantha has been shooting film for over 6 years while shooting digital prior. She aims to showcase the feeling of “we’ve been waiting for you.”
She feels that film photography is the closest that one can touch a tangible human memory. She’s been featured in Ink People’s gallery space and local news for she and her partners dark room, aptly named Farmer’s Film Supply.
Sammantha primarily shoots 35 mm on her Leica M5 and occasionally “soups” her film in acidic agents to create experimental color shifts.

Ryan Farmer:
Ryan Farmer is a mixed media artist that co-owns Farmers Film Supply in Ferndale. Stemming from a lifetime of casually documenting every day adventures, analog photography has provided them with a creative outlet that passionately blends downhill skateboarding, community, the natural environment and art. Using a street luge and a 90 year old camera, Farmer captures dynamic moments from uncommon perspectives. Ryan's work was featured in Flow magazine, they were a staff writer and photographer for The Freeride Flyer, multiple street luge national and world champion, and their proudest accomplishment is partnering with Sammantha.
